Long-Haul Journeys

Almost a year ago I learned I have high-grade prostate cancer. I'm surprised I'm not discouraged by surgery, radiation therapy, and the possibility of further therapies including chemo. My desire to travel is undiminished.

39 daily radiation sessions got in the way of a trip to Hawaii in January 2017. Instead, I planned a trip to England, starting this month (March 2017), going the "wrong" way round the world.

On Monday I will board a west-bound plane in Minneapolis. I will cross the Pacific, stop in Hawaii with my partner, then  press on to China, Japan, and South Korea. I will pause in the United Arab Emirates. I will arrive in England in May where I will hike the Yorkshire Dales with friends. Finally, I will cross the Atlantic back to Minneapolis in mid-May.

I feel loved and supported on the journey; my mind and body easily go to happy places; I'm grateful.
Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) 2016 and 2017. I need the graph to head for zero.
Note: I used Great Circle Mapper to create the map. The PSA graph is from my online medical record.

  1. Wait just a New-York minute here, how is it you're map has New Zealand on your RTW trip?

    1. No, I'm not extending the RTW trip! The map shows all 2016 and 2017 long-haul city pairs.
